My name is Jeffrey Laarman, I am a 21 year old Game Developer from The Netherlands. I mainly focus on gameplay and UI programming but I am always up for a challenge.

I consider myself a team player as well as a strong individual programmer.

Poker World

Description

Poker World is a single player poker game with the objective to become the best poker player in the world. The game has a unique navigation mechanism, whereby the globe guides you from city to city. In Poker World you start your first poker tournament in the south of the US. By winning tournaments, you earn large amounts of chips, you progress and raise your status as a poker player in the scene. By doing so you will be able to join bigger and more exciting poker tournaments.

On the road to become the best poker player, you will also be invited unexpectedly for heads-up battles by the best poker pro’s of the World’s Top 10. When you defeat all 10, you ‘own’ the leaderboard.

Tower Beats

Description

Tower Beats is a game which we made for the famous DJ "Don Diablo". It is a tower defense game in which the towers react to the music of Don Diablo. There are 3 different type of towers, the: Lead, Drum and Bass tower. Towers can be bought with an in-game currency called "Hexcoins". You collect those coins by eliminating enemies that walk down your path. Place your towers strategically and defend your base!

Engine and Tools: Unity3D (C#), Microsoft Visual Studio and SmartGit.
Responsibilities: I was responsible for the Hexagon Grid, the in-game Map Editor, Saving and Loading of map data and map loading animations. I was also responsible for the User Interface and all its animations, implementation of all the towers and their effects, projectile behaviour of the "Drum" tower and enemy pathfinding.

Toxikón

Description

Toxikón is a turnbased local multiplayer party game where your objective is to be the first to reach the mysterious object. The game can be played up to 4 players. Each player holds 5 cards, you can play 1 card each turn and will receive a new one at the end of your turn. These cards can be used to create, move, rotate, block or even destroy paths. Make your way to the mysterious object before one of your friends does!
